Mexican telecommunications firm America Movil did not rule out a further capital increase in Telekom Austria to fund acquisitions in central and eastern Europe, Reuters writes citing report by Austrian magazine News, according Telecompaper. America Movil currently owns nearly 60 percent of the Austrian operator. America Movil CFO Carlos Garcia Moreno affirmed that If there are opportunities for Telekom Austria to expand through acquisitions, the situation will be analysed and the possibility of a capital increase will be considered. Telekom Austria operates in Austria, Macedonia, Belarus, Croatia, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Serbia and Liechtenstein. In November, 2014, Telekom Austria carried out a capital increase of EUR 1 billion to finance an infrastructure plan and reduce debt.
