Moldova's telecommunications authority Anrceti opened a public consultation on the analysis project concerning the access market at a fixed point in the public telephony network (market 1) and the draft decision of Anrceti's board of directors regarding the measures for regulating this market. The deadline for submitting recommendations on these documents is 29 November, according Telecompaper. Anrceti said the market is still susceptible to preventive regulation and that the geographic boundaries of the market in question were determined to be the national territory.
Also, following a detailed analysis of Market 1 in which a number of criteria have been examined, Anrceti demonstrated that Moldtelecom continues to have significant market power on this market. Based on the conclusions outlined in the market's analysis, the project authors propose to maintain the special preventive obligations imposed previously to Moldtelecom through Anrceti's Administrative Council Decision no. 12 issued on 25 May 2012.
