Mozilla has launched a new, free, service for people who wish to know if they have been part of a data breach. The Firefox Monitor was trialed this summer, according Telecompaper. People can check if their email was used as part of a data breach by visiting monitor.firefox.com. With the help of Australian web security expert Troy Hunt, the email address will be scanned against a database of known data breaches. Mozilla will ensure the email address when it is being scanned.
