Amazon has added voice controls to its Alexa app for iOS devices. This means users of Apple smartphones and tablets can now control the digital assistant with voice commands, according Telecompaper. Voice controls on Android devices have been available already since early this year.

Alexa can be used to control Amazon devices like the Echo and other smart home products incorporating the Amazon platform. It does not replace Apple's own virtual assistant Siri on iPhones.
