On 1 August 2013, Annika Klar (31) joined Hannover Fairs International GmbH, a subsidiary of Deutsche Messe AG, as a director in its Global Fairs division. Klar takes over a newly established department which is responsible for overseas trade fairs in the industrial automation, surface technology and industrial supply sectors. Klar and her team will also develop new topics for Deutsche Messe’s portfolio of trade fairs that take place outside of Germany. Klar comes from Hamburg Messe, where she successively held the positions of manager in the international department, manager in the executive office, director of strategic corporate planning and project leader of several events. Klar graduated from the Ravensburg University of Cooperative Education with a dual degree in Exhibition, Convention and Event Management. She earned a Bachelor in Business Administration in 2004.
