Apple has confirmed a press event for 12 September, when the company is expected to unveil a new generation of iPhones. The press conference is planned at its headquarters in California, according Telecompaper. The latest media reports have pointed to three new iPhones planned to launch for the year-end holiday season. These are expected to be two new models of iPhone X and a mid-range model, between the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.

All three are expected to have a similar design to the iPhone X, and two should come with OLED screens, of 5.8 and 6.5 inches. The third device is thought to have a 6.1-inch LCD screen and be the cheapest of the new range. In general, the new phones should be cheaper than the iPhone X, in order to broaden Apple's potential market.
