Apple has announced new versions of its iPad Air and iPad Mini, after several years of the older models on the market. This completes the new range started with the low-cost Apple iPad 9.7 and high-end iPad Pro models launched last year, according Telecompaper. The iPad Mini comes with an upgraded 7.9-inch screen and starts at USD 399/EUR 459, while the iPad Air offers a 10.5-inch Retina display and costs from USD 499/EUR 569. Both are already available to order and will be in shops next week.
Apart from the larger screen and battery, the new tablets have the same specifications. Both work with the Apple Pencil and run the Apple A12 Bionic processor, the same processor used in the latest generation of iPhones, which supports machine learning and augmented reality apps. Customers can choose from a choice of 64 or 256 GB storage and Wi-Fi only or integrated 4G access with an eSim. The new iPads also have an 8-megapixel camera on the rear and 7-megapixel front camera, with improved low-light performance, HD video recording and support for AR experiences.
