Connex announced on Friday, October 7, 2005 that it has closed a Euro 200 million 5 year bank facility.

The proceeds have been used to repay in full the company'™s previous bank financing.

The mandated lead arrangers were Bank Austria Creditanstalt AG, Citibank N.A., Commerzbank Aktiengesellschaft, ING Bank N.V. and Raiffeisen Zentralbank Österreich AG.

The financing has been fully syndicated having received an excellent response from the market. Banks joining the transaction are expected to be signed into the deal in the next few weeks.

Connex is the first video mobile telephony network in Romania and had 5,250,621 customers, as of June 30, 2005. Connex is a trademark of MobiFon S.A., a subsidiary of Vodafone Group Plc. Vodafone is the largest mobile telecommunications network company in the world, with equity interests in 27 countries and Partner Networks in a further 14 countries.  At 30 June 2005, Vodafone had approximately 165 million proportionate customers worldwide.
