Connex announced the addition of Division A football highlights and new video and music content on Connex Play, the first 3G mobile portal in Romania.
Connex offers its customers real time video clips presenting highlights from division A'™s football matches, through the partnership with Telesport channel.
This comes in addition to the SMS alerts with live information during football games and Formula 1 races, which are already available to Connex customers.
'With Connex Play, our customers can watch football highlights even when they are not in front of a TV set. Romanians enjoy watching sports, especially football, and we are very happy to be able deliver this on the mobile. In addition, Play brings a new variety of music content from big international and Romanian stars, as well as more new games to play', said Ken Campbell, Chief Marketing Officer, Connex.
Connex customers can now personalize their mobile phones by downloading new monophonic, polyphonic and real tones from Sony BMG artists like: Anastacia, Beyonce, Britney Spears, Elvis Presley, Eurythmics, George Michael, Simon&Garfunkel, Jennifer Lopez, Ozzy Osbourne. New videoclips from artists such as Alanis Morissette, Cher, Enya, and The Pretenders are also provided by Connex Play.
Directia 5, Pavel Stratan, Taxi, Voltaj and BUG Mafia are only a few of the new pieces of Romanian music that can be downloaded on the Connex mobiles. For fun, Connex customers can also download and watch exclusive videos featuring famous Romanian comedy actors such as Horatiu Malaele and Stefan Banica Sr.
Video games fans can choose from a variety of games available now in Connex Play, such as: Crash Nitro Kart (Wonderphone), BMW 1 Challenge (Infospace/Elkware), Smashing Spiders, Predator (Indiagames). More than 80 new games are offered this August in Play. Moreover, the images, the themes and animations collection is updated on a weekly basis.
Connex Play portal was launched on June 7, 2005, soon after the introduction of the 3G services to Romanians. It is accessible to all Connex customers having WAP services activated. In addition, 3G clients can enjoy live television 24 hours a day with Realitatea TV and benefit of higher navigation speeds up to 384 kbps, which is 10 times faster than provided by GPRS.
