Telekom Romania group announces key performance indicators in second quarter of 2018, ended June 30, 2018, as reported by OTE Group. Consolidated revenues of Telekom Romania group in Q2 2018 reached EUR 237.8 mln, while adjusted EBITDA amounted to EUR 37.3 mln. Mobile service revenues were up by 3.1% to EUR 82.4 mln in Q2 2018, largely reflecting higher revenues from postpaid and fixed-mobile convergent offers. Growth in mobile service revenues from both traditional mobile and the fixed-mobile convergent solutions reflects the success of the recently introduced #netliberare offerings, providing affordable mobile internet access and competitive mobile offerings in the market.

The number of customers for fixed-mobile integrated services increased by 40% in Q2 2018 compared to the corresponding quarter last year, reaching 597,000 at the end of June 2018. Corresponding revenues increased by 30.1% in the quarter.

The TV customer segment registered a slight decrease, by 0.5%, in Q2 2018, to 1.46 million TV customers, with corresponding revenues lower by 8.1% yoy. The Internet TV (IPTV) segment continued the upward trend, with corresponding customers up by 21% compared to the same quarter last year.

At the end of Q2 2018 Telekom Romania group reported 1.16 million broadband subscribers (both fixed and mobile) for the fixed line operations, down by 2% compared to the same quarter last year.

Voice users (including FMC) reached 2.096 million at the end of the second quarter of this year, down by 1% as compared to Q2 2017. Revenues generated by fixed voice decreased by 21.1% yoy.

Telekom Romania Mobile’s customer base totalled 4.7 mln at the end of June 2018, down by 3.4% yoy, mainly due to elimination of inactive customers. Of the total customer base, 35% were postpaid. The total number of business customers increased by 6.8% compared to Q2 2017, reflecting the higher appeal of the company’s offers for this segment.
