COSMOTE Romania announces new extra-options for the 3G internet on mobile terminals

Previewing the spring, COSMOTE Romania launches new extra-options for the 3G data on the mobile phone, addressing both prepaid and postpaid customers, under Connect Mobile umbrella. The new offer provides generous data packages at defying prices, thus reaching another milestone on the mobile telephony market.

With propositions such as 500 MB at 4 euro/month or 5GB of traffic at only 10 euro/month for postpaid customers, or 1.5 GB of traffic for 7 euro per month for prepaid users, the Connect Mobile service offered by COSMOTE Romania comes with very competitive mobile data packages, perfectly in line with the customers’ expectation. The data traffic can be used both on mobile phone but also on the computer, using the mobile phone as a modem.

Connect Mobile for post-paid customers

Choosing this service, the postpaid customers can browse the internet on the mobile phone or they can use the handset as modem for the computer, without any restriction, at speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps.

Once the traffic included in the monthly package is consumed, the transfer rate is reduced to 128 kbps, but extra traffic is not charged supplementary.

Connect Mobile for prepaid clients

Prepaid users also have very advantageous propositions to choose from, starting with 2 Euro for 50 MB traffic, which can be used during 30 days. The extraoptions offer up to 1.5 GB traffic. The service allows mobile internet browsing without restrictions on the handset or the use of the mobile phone as modem for the laptop, at transfer speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps. Once the included traffic is consumed, the supplementary traffic is charged 0.2 euro per MB.

The users of Cartela COSMOTE or Cartela Frog can activate the extra-options several times during one month.

The 3G services are currently available in more than 3.500 localities all over the country. The 3G network offers Internet access with high speeds of up to 21.6 Mbps.

Moreover, starting March 8th the users of Cartela Internet can now benefit from roaming services while abroad.

The data roaming service is available in 54 countries and 145 partners, while the 3G service is available in 40 countries and 65 partners.
