3D with and without glasses, web meets television, apps and tablets - the new Consumer Electronics Trends.

3D is already an established feature of today’s televisions. This new technology now looks set to occupy a firm place in the mid and lower price ranges and this is the target for 2011. Toshiba for example presented at the IFA the first 3D TV which doenst require special glasses.

And TV is getting smarter - the world of social networks from Twitter to Facebook, up to the minute news, sports results, mediatheques, video clips from Youtube pages or communication via Skype: all of this content from the internet can be seen on the same screen.

Another trend in Consumer Electronics: Tablet PCs. Taking the iPad as a prototype, within just a few months an entire new category of devices has been created. Like their smaller equivalent, the smartphones, the flat computers are setting new standards in their range of applications.
