Loewe Individual wins Good Design und Observeur du design awards

The Loewe Individual TV family has won two renowned international design awards at once. The Loewe Individual was designed in collaboration with Phoenix Design of Stuttgart. The "Chicago Athenaeum, Museum of Architecture and Design", recognised the exceptional design by conferring a Good Design Award whilst in Paris, the "Agence pour la promotion de la création industrielle (APCI)" awarded Loewe Individual the label Observeur du design. Both organisations received hundreds of entries for their respective design prizes – from all over the world. The independent design juries were particularly impressed with the superior level of design and the concept of the super slim Loewe TV with personalisation potential.

"The combination of minimalist design and innovative technology has always been a hallmark of the Loewe premium brand. Once again the Loewe Individual TV clearly demonstrates the consistent realisation of this timeless design. No other home entertainment system affords so much creative freedom and can be tailored to fit each individual's living arrangements, taste and requirements so perfectly" commented Loewe CEO Oliver Seidl (photo). The Individual line comprises devices available in four screen size classes – 32, 40, 46 and 55 inches – exceeding the expectations of what television means. It represents a unique product concept, offering a premium class, design-oriented home cinema system where each element perfectly complements the others.

The Museum of Architecture and Design has conferred the Good Design Award since 1950. Prominent design personalities such as Eero Saarinen and Charles and Ray Eames are among the founders of this prize.

The Observeur du design is an international design competition which has been organised by the APCI in Paris since 1999. It gives annual recognition to the best designs from the worlds of product design, interior design and services.
