Orange France has released a new version of its femtocell, which can be used by postpaid mobile customers with a 3G handset to make calls over the internet via a modem or home gateway from any provider with a least 1 Mbps broadband, according Telecompaper. The new femtocell provides up to 20 meter coverage and can be used by eight phones simultaneously. The product costs EUR 19.90 and no monthly subscription is required. Orangeinfo.fr writes that the operator's older femtocell product was able to connect four phones rather than eight.
