Orange, the leader in mobile telecommunication in Romania, is launching 3G+ mobile data services in 13 new cities starting 10 September 2007. Here are the names of the cities: Alba-Iulia, Bistrita, Botosani, Calarasi, Deva, Focsani, Piatra-Neamt, Sf. Gheorghe, Slobozia, Suceava, Tulcea, Turnu-Severin and Zalau.

As a result, Orange customers in 33 county capitals can now surf the Internet, connect to their corporate intranet and download large files at speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps. Orange customers can access 3G+ services on their laptops, enjoying full mobility, and on desktop computers at fixed locations such as their offices or homes.

Customers who choose Internet access service plans amounting to 20 euros/month and who sign 24-month service agreements will receive their connectivity equipment free of charge: data cards for laptops or USB modems for connecting desktop computers.

"Orange is constantly developing its mobile broadband data network so that, by the end of September, Orange customers in 42 large cities will be taking advantage of 3G+ services", says Bogdan Rauta, Mobile Data Proposition Manager la Orange Romania.
