Orange Romania created from scratch a software-based personal assistant robot named Alex, writes local paper Ziarul Financiar citing Customer Service Director Irina Matea, according Telecompaper. The robot is already dealing with simply tasks but it's hoped that in a few years time it will be able to answer harder questions that are now managed by the few hundreds of employees from the operator's customer service department. On top of that, it will provide pieces of information inside the company, thus giving people time to manage more complex activities.
