Orange Romania plans to double the number of Wi-Fi points of access installed at the national level by the end of 2015, according to local paper Ziarul Financiar citing the operator's development & innovation manager Cristian Patachia-Sultanoiu. At present, the operator has approximately 80 Wi-Fi hotspots, totalling 400 installed points of access. The Wi-Fi hotspots can be considered as an extension of the operator's mobile network as they increase the network's capacity in certain areas which have a high density of end-users and have a high demand for data traffic, Patachia-Sultanoiu added, according Telecompaper.
