Orange Romania announced that its satellite TV services attracted over 110,000 subscribers since being launched in June 2013, according to local paper Ziarul Financiar citing Orange Romania CEO Jean Francois Fallacher (photo), according Telecompaper. He was speaking during a special edition of the paper's ZF Live TV show transmitted from the International Digital Forum 2014 conference. Fallacher said that end-users are increasingly accessing TV services from their smartphones, tablets and computers.

The operator's Orange TV service offers 111 channels, of which 48 are HD. Some 60 percent of the end-users use Orange TV on smartphones, 30 percent on tablets, and the rest of 10 percent on computers and laptops, Fallacher said. Orange Romania's CEO also said the company will not take part in a new tender which will be held by Ancom for selling new digital TV licences.
