Orange Romania, together with supporters in the community, recycled 1,161 phones and mobile devices within two weeks to support the YouthBank programme of the Association for Community Relations (Asociatiei pentru Relatii Comunitare, ARC), a civic initiative programme for youth, according Telecompaper. The action is part of the 'Volunteer Week (Saptamana voluntariatului)', a project in which Orange donates EUR 3 to YouthBank for each recycled phone and mobile device. With the support of volunteers, more than EUR 3,200 were gathered. The amount will be used in 2015 to finance activities of high school students who were involved in the project, namely YouthBank Mures, YouthBank Reghin and YouthBank Bucharest.
