Orange is the first telecommunications company in Romania to provide its pay-monthly customers the way of signing new service agreements over the Internet, in Orange Web Shop at www.orange.ro/webshop, according to what the company announced on 13 September 2007.

Using their account’s username and password, customers access Orange Web Shop, select the type of service plan, options, mobiles and accessories they wish to purchase, add them to their shopping basket and then validate the order.

Orange customers who sign up for new individual service agreements or add new numbers to group service plans using Web Shop can also take advantage of exclusive online offers and receive their SIM cards and mobiles via courier at no extra charge. In addition, customers receive their service agreement via email; reading and agreeing to Web Shop terms and conditions is equivalent to agreeing to sign the agreement

This new manner of setting up service plans offers customers who have access to the Internet a secure environment to make online purchases and more comfort, since the transaction is carried out from home in just a few minutes.

“Orange is the only telecommunications company in Romania to offer its customers a Web Shop application which they can use to sign up for services and to purchase a variety of products. At a later stage, we wish to extend our shopping facilities to enable both existing PrePay and new customers to purchase their service plans online” says Oana Solca, Orange Romania Web Shop & Web Care Marketing Manager.

In addition to the Web Shop, Orange provides the Web Care service, which lets customers manage their own account via the Internet: they can modify their charge plans at any time, set up any options they may require, recharge a PrePay account, obtain information on billing and on additional charges,  pay for their service plan and options using the Thank You points they’ve gathered and they can pay their bill online using a bank card.
