Orange UK will exclusively sell the new San Diego Android smartphone nationwide from 06 June. Previously codenamed Orange Santa Clara, the San Diego is powered by the Intel Atom processor Z2460, and supports HSPA+ with the Intel XMM 6260 Platform. The home screen will have quick link access to Orange Wednesdays, Your Orange and Orange Gestures, according Telecompaper. The San Diego will be available for GBP 199.99 on Orange Pay As You Go, when customers top up by GBP 10 in Orange shops. When they take out the handset on pay as you go, they will also receive a free monthly allowance of 250 MB of mobile data per month for 12 months. The phone will also be free to customers signing a 24-month plan from GBP 15.50 a month until 25 July. After 25 July, customers can get the San Diego for free on GBP 20.50, 24 month price plans. The package includes 50 any network call minutes, 50 texts and 100MB of mobile data a month. The handset will be supported by a multi-million pound advertising campaign, featuring the Orange ninja creative, which will commence in June. The campaign will feature across TV, outdoor, print and online.
