Romtelecom and Cosmote Romania confirmed their new official names, according Telecompaper. Starting from mid-September, both Romtelecom and Cosmote will communicate under the same brand, namely Telekom Romania, while their legal entities’ names will be Telekom Romania Communications (replacing Romtelecom) and Telekom Romania Mobile Communications (replacing Cosmote Romanian Mobile Telecommunications). This change will ensure a new customer experience, built around the one stop shop philosophy, which delivers simplified, integrated and customised fix and mobile products. Fixed and mobile shops were integrated and one Call Centre, one website and one social media presence were adopted for all fix and mobile end-users. A total of 43 corporate stores will undergo a complete makeover, in line with the new brand identity. Out of these, seven concept stores will offer a hi-tech, interactive customer experience, according to Deutsche Telekom standards. In order to implement the changes involved by the new, joint Telekom identity, more than 2,000 people are working on over 100 complex projects in marketing, sales, IT, HR and real estate.

A total of 68,000 work hours have been dedicated by the IT teams for implementing the changes, including the joint website and the single contact centre. All these hours are the equivalent of 35 years of work concentrated in just four months. Besides an integrated customer approach, Telekom Romania will also mean a unified employee experience. By the end of the year, more than 500 workshops will be delivered to all Romtelecom and Cosmote Romania employees. After the completion of the project, all the existing products and offers will be continued and will be gradually replaced by 'T' branded products.
