Telekom Romania Wholesale, the division dedicated to Romanian and foreign telecom players has been selected for the second consecutive year, as finalist of the Global Carrier Awards event, the most prestigious telecom carriers event global-wise. For the second consecutive year, the wholesale division of the Romanian operator was nominated for the “Best Eastern European / CIS wholesale carrier” category, respectively for the first time at the “Best European Project” category. “Telekom Romania Wholesale brings a solid contribution to the aim of Telekom Romania brand of becoming the First Choice for Connected Life and Work as telecommunications provider in Romania. We are honoured to be nominated for the second consecutive year at the most prestigious event in telecom industry. The nomination at the “Best European Project” category, in which Telekom Romania Wholesale is competing with other three important global carriers, was made based on achieving the MEF CE 2.0 certification, Telekom Romania Wholesale being the first carrier in the SEE region and the third in Europe achieving this certification from Metro Ethernet Forum. This certifies the operator’s ability to deliver state of the art services at high quality level to carriers and enterprise customers.
The nomination to “Best Eastern European / CIS wholesale carrier” category is the result of Telekom Romania’s growth in the wholesale business, of its active role in developing innovative wholesale products in Balkans and Eastern Europe, grounded by its continuous international network expansion by means of strong partnerships with the most reliable worldwide players.
In its 10th consecutive year, Global Carrier Awards, registering best carriers acting in global telecoms wholesale sector, recognize innovation, excellence and vision and set the benchmark for outstanding performance throughout the global marketplace on this segment. The winners will be announced during the Gala Awards that will take place on November 4, in Amsterdam. The previous edition of the event benefited of the presence of over 320 of the most influential industry leaders.
