Viasat World has added its pay-TV channel Epic Drama to UPC's platforms in Poland, Romania and Hungary, adding 1.5 million subscriptions to the brand across the CEE region. Epic Drama launched in December 2017, according Telecompaper. More than 60 operators in the CEE region are now carrying the pay-TV channel and SVoD offering on their platforms.

In Poland, Epic Drama will join Viasat World's other channels – Polsat Viasat History, Polsat Viasat Explore and Polsat Viasat Nature – in the Max package, but will be available to a wider audience by virtue of an open window at launch. In Hungary, it will reside in the Digital Gold package, with Viasat History/Nature HD and Viasat Explore also in the line-up. Subscribers to the DVBC tier in Romania will get the channel, too, in addition to Viasat History, Viasat Explore, Viasat Nature and TV1000. An Epic Drama SVoD offering will be available in all three markets eventually.
