Bucharest, April 27, 2006 '“ Today, Vodafone Romania is pleased to announce the official launch of the Vodafone brand on the Romanian market.

'After 6 months of successfully co-branding Connex and Vodafone, we are now moving entirely to the unique Vodafone brand experience as we reached an awareness of 95% of Romanians. Starting from today, the Vodafone red will be present in all our retail and partner stores. The corporate visual identity will also change to reflect the Vodafone brand. We are confident that the Vodafone brand will bring the energy, the passion and the strength of a unique global experience to our customers. Building on strong foundations, Vodafone is here to deliver innovative services, scale, scope and long term benefits for the people of Romania', said Liliana Solomon, Chief Executive Officer, Vodafone Romania.
The Vodafone brand will be introduced in Romania through the 'Make the most of now'/'Traieste fiecare clipa' campaign, a communication platform based on extensive research and consumer insight.
'Make the most of now' is rooted in the universal human truth that time is precious and that people are increasingly seeking ways in which to make the most out of every moment of their lives. 'Traieste fiecare clipa' was developed locally starting from the global concept of 'NOW', recently introduced by Vodafone Group. This creative idea will be captured across all our products and services including Vodafone Live!,  Mobile Connect Card, Vodafone Passport, Vodafone Simply, and Blackberry '“ thus  enabling our customers to maximize their time and to improve their lives through the power of mobile communication' said Ken Campbell, Chief Marketing Officer, Vodafone Romania.
The innovative advertising campaign will run through an extended communication mix including television, print, outdoor and Internet.
As part of the re-branding, the company'™s name changed from MobiFon S,A into Vodafone Romania S.A., and the new corporate website is www.vodafone.ro.
