Vodafone Romania announced on October 11 that the 3G broadband – HSDPA services, with network speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps, are now available in 41 cities, plus several seaside resorts.

Thus, we continue to deliver on our strategy of providing state-of-the art services and solutions to as many customers as possible.  At the same time, we are delighted to announce that we reached, in October, half a million 3G users, which is a very important milestone for us and for the 3G market in Romania”, said Liliana Solomon, Chief Executive Officer, Vodafone Romania.

Vodafone Romania currently provides the most extensive coverage of the 3G broadband services, in 41 cities all over the country: Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara, Brasov, Iasi, Constanta, Craiova, Ploiesti, Sibiu, Oradea, Targu-Mures, Arad, Pitesti, Galati, Braila, Satu Mare, Baia Mare, Bistrita, Bacau, Buzau, Alba Iulia, Campia Turzii, Sinaia, Predeal, Azuga, Comarnic, Breaza, Busteni, Turda, Deva, Mangalia, Eforie, Sfantu Gheorghe (judetul Covasna), Alexandria, Tulcea, Targoviste, Slatina, Giurgiu, Zalau, Valsui, Resita, as well as in the following seaside resorts: Mamaia, Costinesti, Olimp, Neptun, Cap Aurora, Venus and Vama Veche.

By January 31, 2008, Vodafone Romania customers benefit from a promotional offer which includes 50% free subscription for the 3G broadband services, during the first three months, for 2 years contracts. In addition, customers who choose the 3G broadband packages with 1 GB, 4 GB and 8 GB traffic included will receive the  Vodafone Mobile Connect data card or Vodafone Smart Modem for free. 

Vodafone 3G broadband - HSDPA services are available when roaming in 26 countries / territories, through 33 operators: Germany, Portugal, Spain, UK, France, Belgium, Austria, Bulgaria, Finland, Hungary, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Netherlands, Greece, Italy, Ireland, Poland, Denmark, Croatia, Israel, New Zealand, Japan, Luxembourg, Sweden, USA and Malta.
