Vodafone Romania announced on 12 September 2007 the takeover of all postpaid points of sales and operations of Petrocom D&V, according to the agreement signed between the two companies. The transaction will be officially completed by September 17, 2007. Petrocom D&V has been exclusive Vodafone distributor between January 2001 – September 2007.

Following the acquisition, Vodafone Romania will take over Petrocom D&V’s postpaid operations, as well as the company’s 55 points of sales, situated in Bucharest and in 25 counties (Iasi, Constanta, Maramures, Prahova, Bacau, Arad, Timis, Suceava, Botosani, Dolj, Vaslui, Galati, Tulcea, Braila, Covasna, Brasov, Mehedinti, Arges, Sibiu, Olt, Teleorman, Bihor, Cluj, Mures and Salaj).
