Vodafone Romania announces the key performance indicators for the quarter ended December 31st, 2018, as reported today by Vodafone Group Plc. Vodafone Romania had 9,9 million total customers at December 31st, 2018, remaining flat compared to the same period of last year. Out of the total number of customers, 9,2 million were mobile customers. Murielle Lorilloux (photo), CEO Vodafone Romania, stated: “In the past quarter, we increased the focus on developing and investing in digital, one of Vodafone’s key priorities. As a result, our constant efforts to offer our customers convenient digital experiences resulted in an increase of interactions by more than 50% across digital channels. Also, both postpaid and prepaid users benefited in the last months from dedicated promotions and campaigns within Vodafone smartphone applications and in our e-shop.”
 
Vodafone Romania’s mobile ARPU is at Euro 5.9 over the three months ended on December 31st, 2018. 
 
The Service Revenue is at EURO 180.2 million and continues to grow at an underlying level, excluding MTRs. The organic reported service revenues decreased compared to the same quarter of the previous year by 0.8% as a result of MTR reduction from 0.96 eurocents/minute, to 0.84 eurocents/minute for mobile voice calls. 
 
On an organic basis excluding MTR, service revenue grew by 0.6% in the quarter ended December 31st 2018 as compared to the same period of last year.
 
At December 31st, 2018, mobile postpaid customers represented 40.9%, and prepaid customers 59.1% of the total mobile base. The postpaid base users increased by 1.2 percentage points as compared to the same period of last year.
