In the period  April 1, 2006 '“ June 30, 2006, Vodafone Romania registered:

- 351,248 net additions for a total of 6,735,094 customer base
- 32 % service revenue growth year on year
- Data services account for 9% of service revenue
- 171,237 3G users in the Vodafone Romania network at the end of the quarter
 
Bucharest, July 24, 2006 '“ Vodafone Romania announces key performance indicators for the first quarter* ended June 30, 2006,  as reported today by Vodafone Group Plc. 

Vodafone Romania registered 351,248 net additions, for a total of 6,735,094 customers. 

Service revenue increased by 32 %, compared to the same period last year. Data services increased by 71% compared to the same period last year and now represent 9%  of service revenue.

Average monthly revenue per user (ARPU) reached a value of US $ 15.2 in the quarter April 1 - June 30, 2006, as compared to US $14.7 in the same period last year. This accounts for a growth of 3.1% in ARPU, year on year.

The number of 3G users in the Vodafone Romania network was 171,237, as of June 30, 2006. The successful uptake of the 3G services consolidates Vodafone Romania'™s market leadership position in the business segment.

Postpaid subscribers accounted for 34% and prepaid for 66% of Vodafone Romania'™s total subscriber base.
