Vodafone Romania reported service revenues in the quarter to 30 September up 4.1 percent to EUR 186 million. The total number of customers was up 386,219 to 9.75 million, according Telecompaper. Of the total number of customers, 9.037 million are end-users of mobile services, up from 8.871 million in the previous quarter. Mobile ARPU dropped to EUR 6.1 in the three months from EUR 6.2 a year ago and was unchanged sequentially. Prepaid customers accounted for 60 percent of Vodafone Romania's total mobile customer base, and postpaid end-users for 40 percent. The number of postpaid end-users rose by 30,000 while those of prepaid end-users was up 136,000.
The share of pre-paid end-users in the total mobile customer base increased by 0.4 percent over the previous quarter. At the same time, mobile data consumption increased by 90 percent in the quarter to 36,150 TB compared with the same period of 2016.
The operator's number of customers increased to 65,000 from 63,000 in the previous quarter.
