Vodafone Spain is inviting ideas for smartphone apps which improve quality of life. This is part of the Mobile for Good Europe Award, led by the Vodafone Foundation, which offers EUR 200,000 in prize money across four categories. It is seeking iOS and Android apps in the categories of removing barriers, mobilizing public services, health and education, according Telecompaper. Applications must be submitted by 15 October, with the winners announced at a ceremony in Brussels on 05 December. In each category, EUR 50,000 prize money will be divided between the three best apps - the winner getting EUR 30,000, second place getting EUR 15,000 and third place getting EUR 5,000.
