Flat simplified roaming tariffs. Lower roaming tariffs for calls to 37 preferred networks.

Connex Vodafone introduced on Monday Vodafone World, a roaming service bringing simplified and more advantageous roaming rates to its postpaid customers.

'Vodafone World is a new proposition on the market that is redefining the roaming experience for Romanian mobile subscribers. Connex Vodafone postpaid customers travelling abroad will benefit from preferential roaming tariffs for calls to a total of 37 Vodafone subsidiaries, partners or affiliates. This is the first from a wide range of Vodafone innovative products and services that will bring our customers incremental benefits from the scale and scope of the world's leading mobile communications community', said Liliana Solomon, Chief Executive Officer Connex Vodafone.

Vodafone World provides a new simplified pricing scheme based on a flat fee per minute for each of the 5 roaming zones: zone 1 (Germany, Italy, Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, Hungary, Moldavia, Poland ), zone 2 (other European countries, except Ukraine, Serbia - Montenegro, Belarus), zone 3 (Asia, Africa, South and Central America, Australia, Ukraine, Serbia-Montenegro and Belarus ), zone 4 (USA, Canada, Mexico, Rusia, India) and zone 5 (the rest of the world).

In addition, for a total of 37 Vodafone subsidiaries, partner networks and affiliate networks, the roaming tariff per minute is up to 30% lower than standard roaming tariffs.

Through the new pricing structure, Connex Vodafone customers calling from Italy, Germany, Spain, Austria and the United Kingdom to Romania pay now less as compared to the previous roaming tariffs in place.

Connex Vodafone postpaid subscribers will benefit from the Vodafone World pricing starting with the first bill issued after February 26, 2005.

This year, Connex Vodafone will make the Vodafone World service available to its prepaid  customers, too (Cartela Connex and Connex 2in1).
